Dating Diaries Tidbit: Uber awkward

I know it's been a little while since I posted my latest dating diaries. I stumbled upon this gem from August but still feel the same....

Ladies, how would you feel if you found out that your tinder date was an uber driver? Are you with me here? It would totally be nothing short of uber awkward if he had previously driven you to a date with another man... Just sayin

Pampering time

Sometimes a girl needs to give herself a little bit of TLC. Everyone loves to be spoiled, and I am no different. When it comes to working long hours and taking care of other people, it's sometimes easy to push myself to last on the list. I was beginning to feel so blah that I asked myself what would Jesus do to make himself feel better? The answer was clear...So I decided to be kind to myself and indulge in my most favorite way.... Beauty upgrades.

If you know the real me, you would know that I am not a natural blonde... SHHH! I have wrecked havoc on my locks turning them into what I wish I was born with naturally, blonde locks. My hair is also naturally thin and breaks easily, so this is not the easiest of tasks... my solution, Hair extensions! Tada! A full head of hair extensions has glamorously turned me into Rapunzel. If you are in the L.A. area, You have to go to Susan Allen Salon and ask for my girl Kelcey (#HairByKelcey). She is the only person I trust with my hair!

All aboard the extension loving train! I decided, since I'm already adding hair to my head, let's add hair to my lashes too! Make those babies Bambi like! It is my first time with lash extensions and was a little nervous about the process. I have super sensitive eyes and am not a fan of sitting still... but my girlfriend, Marie (@MissChiqui3) took my lash virginity and made it the most fabulous experience! She is also available at Susan Allen Salon or from her beautiful home Spa room.

Abstract art

Painting is one of my favorite loves. I haven't had much time for it lately. Starting now it is going to once again be one of my top priorities. I have been inspired by so many awesome artists on Etsy and Instagram. Abstract painting is definitely my new jam. Here is one of my latest. "Purple and white splatter". Do what you are afraid to do

Always do what you are afraid to do. (Unless it's illegal, no one needs to get themselves wound up in jail). The moral of the story is that life is too short to worry about what other people think of you. If it makes you happy, if it grows you, if it inspires you, if it gets you closer to your goal, do it!

The hard part is taking the first step when things look scary and you're not sure of how it will turn out but I will be the first to admit that it's even harder not knowing and wondering "what if".

I challenge you do be like Nike and just do it. Text him first, eat that second or even third slice of cake, apply for the fancy new job, go back to school, take that dance class, jump out of the plane (wearing a parachute of course), go for it. It might be something new and scary and it could turn out to be completely awful but it could be one of the best things that you ever pushed yourself to do too.

Here's to 2017 being a year of new and amazing experiences for you and me both!
