Bohemian Bedding by Urban Outfitters
Did you know that Urban Outfitters isn't just for cute clothing? They sell goods for your apartment too! Score! It's also where I snagged my bedding and pillows for my bedroom. I was looking for something cozy with a bohemian vibe to it and I stumbled upon this fabulous Duvet cover from Plum & Bow. I cannot say enough amazing things about the Plum & Bow collection. So many amazing designs to choose from. All around $110!
After the tough decision of finalizing the bedding, it was on to pillows! I wanted to keep my color scheme going, so I chose Magical thinking Avery Tassel pillows in blue (2 for $60). Paired them with the Magical thinking Ayden Canvas Bolster pillow in cream ($49). Then topped them off with the Plum & Bow Embroidered Hand pillow ($49) that I am COMPLETELY obsessed with!
Plum & Bow has a gorgeous Faux Fur Throw Blanket for $79 but I found a similar fluffy knitted throw blanket on Amazon for $30.
And the bedding is completed! Perfectly comfortable bohemian flair! Have you shopped at Urban Outfitters to decorate your home? Feel free to comment and share below!

DIY Nightstand from Ikea for under $50
I decided to redo my bedroom. I was on the hunt for a really cool turquoise, shabby chic nightstand. I found several for over $300. I thought to myself, self, you can MAKE that for cheaper. So that's what I did! I made it for only $50.00
I headed over to Ikea.com and found THIS nightstand by Tarva for only $39.00. It took 3 hours of my life to build but was well worth it! Once assembled, I was ready to paint.

I get majority of my crafts and paints from JoAnn's. My favorite brand for paint is Americana. I chose "Spa Blue" I bought 6 2 oz. bottles for $1.50 each (and had several bottles left over).
Then I just got to painting. I painted 2 coats of the Spa blue. I wanted it to look a little worn and undone, so I did not gloss over after the blue paint dried.
The results:
The perfect little turquoise nightstand for under $50.

Italian Chicken Bake
I am all about Baking. This recipe for Italian Chicken is delicious. Only 4 ingredients and oh so yummy!
Ingredients:
2-4 boneless chicken breast
Prepared Pesto
1-2 Roma tomatoes
Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees, Lay your chicken breast in a baking dish. Spread about 1-2 tablespoons of prepared pesto. Slice 1-2 roma tomatoes into 1/2″ thick slices and lay them on top of the pesto. Sprinkle mozzarella over the whole thing. Bake at 400˚F for 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear.

I went a little overboard with the cheese because, well I'm a lover. None the less, the results were scrumptious! Like an Italian party in your mouth. Delizioso!

Homemade blackhead banisher- Does it work?
The beginning of this month kicked off with me confined to my bed with a nasty cold. Bah humbug! (Which explains the lack of posts). Anyway, you know how when you're stuck in bed, sick with a cold, all you can do is think about how much you need to do and how you don't have any energy to do it?! Well, that was me. I was scrolling through Pinterest when I saw a homemade blackhead banishing mask. I thought to myself, self, you need to do this! I may have not been able to banish my sickness, but I was determined to banish my blackheads and to have clean pores dammit! I followed the exact recipe and instructions below:
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon of hot water
1 tablespoon of flour
1/2 teaspoon of honey
Mix above in a bowl. The mixture has a sticky consistency. Take a piece of paper or a post-it (legit, a piece of paper or post-it!) Apply mixture on one side, stick strip of paper to your nose, chin, or forehead and leave for 10-15 minutes. When mixture is dry, remove and you will have removed all blackheads as well.

I really should have cut the paper smaller because I look like some kind of sickly duck.
After waiting the 15 minutes, I removed the paper and..... didn't see jack shit of a change in my skin. There were still blackheads on my face and there weren't any on the paper. Complete waste of time. But I will say that the honey did make my skin feel a heck of a lot softer. Silver lining! I think from now on I'll just stick to honey in my tea and throw on some makeup. Problem solved!
I encourage you to try to mask yourself, maybe you'll have different results. Feel free to share your experience in the comments below!
